Oversight by Council of Presiding Elders & Registrar
Agape Church International (ordainedministers.org) is an independent, non-denominational Christian church ministry governed by its Council of Presiding Elders and administered daily by the Office of the Presiding Registrar (registrar@ordainedministers.org).
The church operates in accordance with Internal Revenue Code IRC § 508(c)(1)(A) church ministry principles, maintaining an established Statement of Belief, ecclesiastical bylaws, ministerial code of conduct, public ordination roll, and continuing officiant and pastoral education.
Zero-Expiration Roll & Revocation Accountability
Every candidate for ordination must be at least 18 years of age and affirmatively subscribe to the Agape Statement of Belief (inherent human dignity and freedom of conscience; marriage as a voluntary lifelong covenant of mutual consent; honest service and integrity toward civil institutions) and Minister Code of Conduct.
Ordinations are recorded permanently in the Agape Clergy Registry at $0 cost with zero expiration and no annual renewal fees. Standing remains ACTIVE_GOOD_STANDING for life unless voluntarily resigned or revoked for cause (including falsifying civil marriage records, impersonation, coercion, or misrepresenting local government authorization).
1. What Agape Registry Verification Confirms: An active record on /clerks or /verify/[id] confirms strictly that Agape Church International conferred ecclesiastical ordination upon the named individual on the recorded UTC timestamp and that the minister remains in active ecclesiastical good standing under church bylaws.
2. Respect for State & Local Civil Marriage Statutes: Federal church status under IRC § 508(c)(1)(A) governs federal tax posture—never state marriage-solemnization eligibility. Agape Registry verification does not verify government photo ID and does not confirm completion of separate statutory pre-registration. Agape Church International expressly instructs every minister to comply with all local pre-ceremony registration, credential recording, bond, electronic portal, or judicial petition requirements, including in NV, NYC (NY DRL § 11-B), OH, MN, AR, OK, HI, WV, MA, LA, DC, VA (Circuit Court Order under Va. Code § 20-25), TN (Tenn. Code Ann. § 36-3-301(a)(2) restriction), and AL (notarized Form ADPH-HS-47 under Act 2019-340).
